vfr departure Airport sponsor published verified 2026-08-28 (42 d ago)
Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
Turn right to a heading of 360 no later than the airport boundary, and hold it for at least 2 miles.
The route
- As soon as possible, but no later than crossing the airport boundary, turn right to a heading of 360 degrees and hold this heading for at least 2 miles from the airport
- Aircraft performance differs with type and takeoff conditions; the operator must determine whether takeoff thrust should be reduced prior to, during, or after flap retraction
- If ATC assigns a heading or departure procedure, fly that instead
When it applies
- Runway configuration unconfirmed The airport does not tie this procedure to a runway. It states separately that runway 33 is the preferred departure runway and that runway 15 departures require a signed waiver, but that is not the same as the procedure naming a runway — so applicability is recorded as unconfirmed rather than inferred, which matters more than usual at a field with rising terrain southeast

VFR Departure Procedure As soon as possible, but no later than crossing airport boundary, turn right to a heading of 360 degrees and hold this heading for at least 2 miles from the airport. NOTE: It is recognized that aircraft performance will differ with aircraft type and takeoff conditions; therefore, the aircraft operator must determine whether takeoff thrust should be reduced prior to, during, or after flap retraction. [Curfew page:] Noise abatement required – fly ATC assigned heading or standard departure procedure. If no heading or departure procedure is assigned turn right noise abatement heading of 360 for 2 miles before proceeding on course.
