10° left over the SMO VOR, slight right to overfly the length of Penmar Golf Course; no right turns before the shoreline, no left turns before Lincoln Blvd.

The route

  1. Make an initial 10° left turn over the VOR, followed by a slight right turn to overfly the length of the Penmar Golf Course — do not initiate the 10° left turn prior to the VOR
  2. Northerly turns at the shoreline; southerly turns at Lincoln Boulevard (map: "No right turns prior to shoreline", "No left turns prior to Lincoln Blvd")
  3. Special Flight Rules Area departures: right climbing 270° turn at the shoreline to head southeast along the SMO 132° radial at 3,500 feet MSL

Westerly Flow: Runway 21
The standard traffic pattern is left. Please overfly the Penmar Golf Course west of SMO. This procedure requires an initial 10° left turn over the VOR, followed by a slight right turn to overfly the length of the golf course. Please do not initiate the left 10° turn prior to the VOR (See map).
Special Flight Rules Area: Runway 21
Right climbing 270° turn at shoreline to head southeast along SMO 132° radial at 3,500 feet MSL (see map.)
