KSSI St Simons Island — local VFR procedures

The residential areas southeast and south-southwest of runway 16/34 are described as extremely noise sensitive. All VFR aircraft adhere to the standard left-hand traffic pattern.

- Helicopter Noise Abatement Arrival — Straight-in to runway 34, then a mid-field turn to land.

- Runway 16/34 Noise Sensitivity — Residential areas southeast and south-southwest of runway 16/34 are extremely noise sensitive.

Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
