KOWD Norwood Meml — local VFR procedures
Not for navigation. These are locally published VFR routes, reproduced with sources; verify against the official documents linked from each procedure before flight.
Runway 17/35 is the main runway. Maintain minimum pattern altitude (1,000 ft MSL) as long as feasible on all runways. Noise abatement procedures apply under VFR only — under IFR the pilot follows ATC clearances, which with the active runway can take the aircraft directly over abutting neighborhoods.
VFR arrivals
All runways — 10 / 28 / 17 / 35
- VFR Arrival Guidance — Hold minimum pattern altitude as long as feasible on all runways; runway 10 landings not before the displaced threshold.

- VFR Departure Headings — A published heading off every end: 230° off 28, runway heading to I-95 off 17, 360° off 35, straight out off 10.

Other local procedures
All operations — 10 / 28 / 17 / 35
- Aircraft Noise Restriction — Aircraft exceeding 75 dBA or 87 EPNdB as measured under FAR Part 36 are prohibited from using the airport.
These routes are advisory as published — none of them is a regulation. Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command. Each procedure page shows its own authority level and links its primary sources.
