Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.

Hold minimum pattern altitude as long as feasible on all runways; runway 10 landings not before the displaced threshold.

The route

  1. All runways: maintain minimum pattern altitude (1,000 ft MSL) as long as feasible

NORWOOD, MA (OWD) / NORWOOD MEML AIRPORT — VFR ARRIVALS NOISE ABATEMENT CHART (Effective Date 1/1/00)
RUNWAY 10 - Landings shall NOT be made prior to the displaced threshold
ALL RUNWAYS - Maintain minimum pattern altitude (1,000' MSL) as long as feasible.
Noise Abatement guidelines to pilots: As a result of a Part 150 noise study by the Airport Commission and the FAA, Norwood Memorial Airport has instituted noise abatement procedures for VFR arrivals and departures. These are designed to reduce the impact of airport operations on surrounding neighborhoods. Please support these efforts. Fly neighborly.
