Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
Named routings by quadrant: railroad tracks from the north, Magnolia for runway 24 and Dale for runway 6 from the south.
The route
- Arrivals from the northwest or northeast: for both runway operations, follow the railroad tracks
- Arrivals from the southwest or southeast: for runway 24 operations use Magnolia routing; for runway 6 operations use Dale routing
- Departures northwest/northeast: fly north until the railroad tracks, turn west OVER the tracks, cross a point east of Beach Blvd at 600 MSL, make the northeast turn over Beach Blvd, and continue west over the tracks before any other turns
- Departures southwest/southeast: fly south on the appropriate route until over either freeway (I-5 or 91) before making any turns; cross a point south at 600 MSL

Noise Abatement Procedures — Helicopter Arrivals: - N/W - N/E - For both runway operations, follow railroad tracks. - S/W - S/E - For Runway 24 operations, use Magnolia routing. For Runway 06 operations, use Dale routing. Departures: - N/W-N/E - Fly north until railroad tracks, turn west OVER railroad tracks. Cross a point (see map) east of Beach Blvd. at 600 msl.
