Touch-and-go and practice approaches only 0700-1900 weekdays and 0800-1500 weekends and holidays, and only on the 8L/26R and 8R/26L pair.
The route
- No touch-and-go, stop-and-go, practice low approach or VFR practice missed approach except 0700-1900 weekdays and 0800-1500 Saturdays, Sundays and listed holidays
- Except for instrument training, training operations shall be conducted only on runways 8L/26R and 8R/26L
- Formation takeoffs and landings are prohibited except as necessary in the manufacture or repair of aircraft
- Engine run-ups other than preflight are permitted only 0700-2100 weekdays and 0900-2100 weekends and holidays, at locations approved by the airport manager
When it applies
- Runway 8L or 26R or 8R or 26L The 2025 lesson plan states it in current designators — "only on Runways 08L/26R and 08R/26L" — matching the ordinance's 25R/7L and 25L/7R. The ordinance's fallback "Runways 34L/16R and 34R/16L" corresponds to no runway at Long Beach today and is not keyed here

16.43.030 Prohibited activities. A. No Touch and Go, Stop and Go, Practice Low Approach, or VFR Practice Missed Approach shall be conducted at the Airport except between seven a.m. and seven p.m. on weekdays and between eight a.m. and three p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day... Except for instrument training, Training Operations shall be conducted only on Runways 25R/7L and 25L/7R, unless the FAA directs such Operations on Runways 34L/16R and 34R/16L. C. Except as necessary in the manufacture or repair of aircraft, formation takeoffs and landings are prohibited at Long Beach Municipal Airport.
