noise abatement Airport sponsor published verified 2026-08-28 (42 d ago)
Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
Four touch-and-goes per pilot per two hours in daytime windows; voluntary non-operation midnight to 0500 with a PPR requested for turbine twins.
The route
- Touch-and-go and practice operations are discouraged for any turbojet, or turboprop larger than a King Air (C-12)
- All other aircraft: touch-and-go and practice approaches recommended during 0830-2200 Monday to Friday and 0900-2200 weekends and holidays
- Recommend no more than four touch-and-go or practice operations within a two-hour period per pilot; operations for continued pilot certification are exempt for MRY-based aircraft
- Voluntary non-operation hours from midnight until 0500 local — note the FAA Chart Supplement instead states 2300-0700
- A prior permission request is requested for all multi-engine turbine-powered aircraft arriving or departing during the voluntary curfew hours
- Helicopters: follow fixed wing patterns and avoid the residential area adjacent to the airport
When it applies
- Runway 10L or 10R or 28L or 28R — all operations Airport-wide. Note the airport's published curfew window (midnight-0500) does not match the Chart Supplement's (2300-0700)
