Traffic pattern altitude 1100' MSL — runway 16 left traffic, runway 34 right traffic (calm-wind runway 34), which keeps the pattern east of the field. The Port requests a minimum cruise altitude of 1500' AGL over the islands.

VFR arrivals

All arrivals — 16 / 34

  • Arrival Guidelines — Keep all traffic east of the field, fly the full pattern, avoid the Eastsound village core, fly the PAPI.

VFR departures

Runway 34

  • Runway 34 Departure — No turns until past Parker Reef; southbound traffic follows the over-water map routes or a right-downwind departure.

Runway 16

  • Runway 16 Departure — Runway heading at Vy; turns east past Madrona Point, west past Madrona Point and above 1500' MSL.

  • Noise Reduction & Quiet Hours — Voluntary: 1500' AGL minimum over the islands, avoid homes, quiet flying in sensitive areas, no operations 2200-0700 local.

Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
