KPWK Chicago Exec — local VFR procedures
Not for navigation. These are locally published VFR routes, reproduced with sources; verify against the official documents linked from each procedure before flight.
Runway 12/30 is preferred for operations between 2200 and 0600 local. Noise sensitive neighbors lie north and south of the airport. When holding at the runway 16 pad, align the aircraft to 315°; at the runway 34 pad, align to 190°.
VFR departures
Runway 16
- Runway 16 Departure — NBAA Standard profile: max practical rate at V2+20 to 1,000 ft AFL before accelerating and retracting flaps.
Runway 34 / 30 / 12
- Runway 34, 30 and 12 Departures — NBAA Close-In profile: quiet climb power at 500 ft AFL rather than 1,000, which is what distinguishes these from runway 16.

These routes are advisory as published — none of them is a regulation. Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command. Each procedure page shows its own authority level and links its primary sources.
