KRAL Riverside — local VFR procedures
Not for navigation. These are locally published VFR routes, reproduced with sources; verify against the official documents linked from each procedure before flight.
A power plant 3,000 ft north of the runway 16 threshold produces a thermal plume; avoidance is advised. Turbine aircraft: a rolling takeoff is preferred for noise management.
VFR departures
West flow — 27
- Runway 27 Departure — Turn right 10° after departure; assume course after reaching 1,500 ft MSL.
All runways — 9 / 27 / 16 / 34
- No Turns Before the Airport Boundary — No turns before the airport boundary and 1,500 ft MSL; turbine aircraft use a rolling takeoff.
These routes are advisory as published — none of them is a regulation. Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command. Each procedure page shows its own authority level and links its primary sources.
