Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.

Runway 3 is the calm-wind and preferred noise runway; non-Stage III aircraft are asked to depart 3 and arrive 21; high, tight patterns on the 4° PAPI.

The route

  1. Runway 3 is the designated calm wind runway and the preferred noise abatement runway
  2. Aircraft not meeting Part 36 Stage III requirements are requested to use runway 3 for departure and runway 21 for arrivals, weather and traffic permitting
  3. Left-hand traffic pattern on runway 3, right-hand traffic pattern on runway 21
  4. Discourage right downwind and right base pattern entry, long straight-in approaches, and right turnouts prior to reaching the airport boundary for aircraft using runway 3
  5. Climb as high as possible before leaving airport boundaries; fly high and tight patterns and follow the 4° PAPI
  6. Descents below 2,500 MSL during practice approaches are discouraged

Preferred Procedures
