Published by the airport sponsor; voluntary unless ATC assigns it. If ATC assigns this route to you in Class B, C or D airspace, that assignment is an ATC instruction and compliance is required (14 CFR 91.123) — and “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.

Runway 29: runway heading just past the end of the runway, slight right along the Highway 267 Bypass Bridge to I-80, then on course near roadways.

The route

  1. Fly runway heading until just past the end of the runway, then make a slight right turn to align with the Highway 267 Bypass Bridge
  2. Fly along the bridge until reaching Interstate 80, then on course, staying near roadways until out of town
  3. Fly runway heading longer than you think — turning before the end of the runway results in overflight of a residential area; look for the Runway 11 runup off your left and turn shortly after
  4. After turning, lower the nose briefly to verify position — if you can see the bridge off your left, you are not over it
