Pattern altitudes: east pattern 1600' MSL, west pattern 2000' MSL (field elevation 802'). Runway 16L/34R is restricted to 14,000 lbs maximum gross landing weight or less, and is closed nightly 2245-0600 local. Runways 16L and 16R are used when the wind is less than 5 knots.

North flow — 34L / 34R

  • Jet Aircraft Operations — 16R/34L is the preferential runway for all jet operations, full length only; jet pattern work and repetitive operations are not permitted.

Runway 16L / 34R

  • Pattern Work & Repetitive Operations — Touch-and-go limited to fixed-wing piston aircraft, preferred on 16L/34R; night repetitive operations prohibited by ordinance (seasonal hours).

Night departures (2300-0700) — 16R

  • Noise Abatement & Curfew Ordinance — City of LA ordinance: night departure curfew (2200/2300-0700 by stage), 77 dBA arrival/departure cap, night preferential runways (depart 16R, arrive 34L), run-up curfew. Civil penalties apply.
