KRNT Renton Muni — local VFR procedures
Not for navigation. These are locally published VFR routes, reproduced with sources; verify against the official documents linked from each procedure before flight.
Do not enter the Class D unless two-way radio contact has been established with Renton Tower (124.7). Pattern altitudes: east side 1,000' AGL, west side 1,218' AGL. All altitudes in the routes are MSL.
VFR arrivals
South flow — 16
- East Channel Arrival — Arrival from the north via the East Channel Bridge, inbound over the middle of the East Channel to a straight-in.
- Lake Youngs Arrival — Arrival from the southeast via the northeast side of Lake Youngs and Maplewood Golf Course to a 45° left-downwind entry.
North flow — 34
- Factoria Arrival — Arrival from the northeast via Factoria and the Water Tower to a 45° right-downwind entry.
- Kent Arrival — Arrival from the south, entering the Class D 1 mile east of SR-167.
- Lake Youngs Arrival — Arrival from the southeast via the southwest side of Lake Youngs and Valley Medical Center to a straight-in.
VFR departures
South flow — 16
- Factoria Departure — Departure to the northeast via a left downwind west of I-405, then direct Factoria.
- Kent Departure — Departure to the south via the east side of Valley Medical Center toward SR-167.
- Lake Youngs Departure — Departure to the southeast, direct to the southwest side of Lake Youngs.
North flow — 34
- East Channel Departure — Departure north over the middle of the East Channel to the East Channel Bridge.
- Lake Youngs Departure — Departure via a right downwind west of I-405, then direct to the northeast side of Lake Youngs.
Either flow — 16 / 34
- Museum / KBFI Departure — Coordinated handoff departure westbound toward the Museum of Flight / Boeing Field — request with Renton Ground, no west turn until two-way contact with Boeing Tower.

These routes are advisory as published — none of them is a regulation. Assigned by ATC in Class B, C or D airspace, a route becomes an ATC instruction under 14 CFR 91.123; “unable” remains available to the pilot in command.
